NAHA High School Career Exploration Field Trip

In this hands-on field trip opportunity for highschoolers, students will learn about different careers in construction.  Students will do a hands-on tape measure activity where they'll use their knowledge of fractions to accurately measure and sketch a layout of their classroom. Students will also learn how area and perimeter are used in construction. Using these skills, students will work in groups to redesign their classroom, choosing paint and flooring, hiring labor, and calculating their company profits.
