Constitution Hall Park

Becoming Alabama Students will enjoy an immersive field trip experience on the original site where Alabama’s first constitution was signed! In the summer of 1819, delegates from across the Alabama territory gathered in Huntsville to create a constitution: the final step for Alabama to join the Union as the 22nd state. This educational program gives students the opportunity to learn how a constitution is created through creating their own class constitution in the same space delegates met over 200 years ago. Students will also explore the different lives of the people living in Huntsville in the early 1800s, including a blacksmith demonstration!    

This field trip is ideal for PreK-5th grade but up to 8th grade are welcome! Cost is $10 per person. Tickets available for purchase until October 11th. We must have 15 attendees to make this field trip possible.
